Jill and Mary have built a strong bond over their shared mission and values. About three years ago, they found their mutual passion for uplifting and empowering young women, and in time, they've created an incredible community through Girls Mentorship. Over the past three years, they've encouraged and engaged with over 2,400 girls and their families by hosting workshops, training sessions, and development opportunities. 

Their approach in Girls Mentorship is not about teaching skills for temporary benefit but about laying a foundation for lifelong success. They focus on developing traits like self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-esteem by creating interactive and engaging experiences for their community. They believe that this early investment in personal growth will allow these girls to avoid certain pitfalls and be more resilient and effective in their adult lives. 

Jill and Mary prioritize authenticity and fun in their mission. They understand the struggle of being a teen girl, and they've learned how to connect and communicate in a way that assures their students that they have a safe space to express themselves. They also work hard to foster empathy in these young women. The hope is to nurture them into empathetic and self-aware adults who communicate effectively and openly. 

One insight from Jill and Mary’s work has been the impact intentionally supportive parents can have on their children. They remind parents about the importance of allowing their children to experience conflict and learn how to navigate through it, instead of stepping in to solve their problems for them. Learning how to handle such situations is crucial to growing up and becoming resourceful, responsible adults. 

Jill and Mary are always looking to expand their impact. They're currently in the process of developing an online program for girls and their parents. This program is expected to help spread their empowering teachings to a wider audience and help foster environments at home that facilitate healthy growth and development for these young women.
